Where big fun begins…
Getting to Torres del Paine
The gateway to Torres del Paine National Park is the small town of Puerto Natales, Chile. Most travelers reach the park in one of the following ways:
Fly into Punta Arenas, Chile (PUQ):
The most common option is flying from Santiago (about 3.5 hours).
From Punta Arenas, it’s a 3-hour drive (or bus) to Puerto Natales, and then about 2 hours more to the park.
Fly into Puerto Natales, Chile (PNT):
A seasonal airport with limited flights, but by far the most convenient option if available.
Only about 2 hours’ drive to EcoCamp or the park entrance.
From El Calafate, Argentina:
If traveling through Patagonia on the Argentina side, you can cross the border by bus or car.
The trip takes 5–6 hours, depending on border wait times.
Once in Puerto Natales, most guided trips (including EcoCamp stays) provide organized transfers to the park, so guests don’t need to worry about navigation.
